Q: Hi Ivi, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
A: I’m 22 and I live in the heart of Bury St Edmunds.
My role at Javelin is a senior sales advisor, mainly in the lifestyle department. I assist with visual merchandising as well as helping customers find the right products for their homes.
My three biggest loves in life are food, interior design and travel.
As a lover of everything to do with interior design, you won’t be surprised to know that my favourite TV show is Grand Designs.

Q: What do you love most about your work at Javelin?
A: There are so many things I love about my job: the team, the atmosphere, the customers, but there is one thing that can't be beaten, and that’s helping someone find their confidence.
A couple of years ago, a 16 year-old girl came in with her father. We spent hours together going around the shop, grabbing different styles of clothes, trying pieces on and turning what started as a daunting experience for her, into an experience she would look forward to in the future. Seeing her find her confidence felt really special.
Q: How would you describe the Javelin experience to someone who has never shopped with us before?
A: You walk into a sea of friendly, smiley faces, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The Javelin team is like a family and you definitely feel that as a customer shopping in our stores. Prepare for beautiful, inspiring merchandising and interesting, often unusual products that you won’t see everywhere else. And of course, our shops are in fabulous historic locations which adds to the experience.
Q: Describe your personal style
A: I would say colourful, alternative fashion. My motto is dress for yourself and nobody else. If I find something that isn't to everyone's taste, but I love it, you will most definitely catch me wearing it! The same applies to my home: if I love it, I’m buying it!

Q: What is the item you can’t live without?
A: My wardrobe staple is a crisp, oversized shirt. It's versatile, cool for the summer and can easily be layered in colder months with vests and blazers. It’s a really easy item to dress up or down. Definitely a must have in anybody's wardrobe.
Q: Do you have a fashion icon?
A: Who else but David Bowie? He's known for his love of colour, and daring, bold, unforgettable outfits. He was the king of blurring the lines of fashion and the perfect advocate for wearing what makes YOU happy.
Q: Can you give us a styling tip?
A: I would always suggest finding something timeless. Rather than flow with the trends, go for something that you will keep in your wardrobe or home for years to come. This usually works best if you choose a piece that you feel reflects you and almost speaks to you. If you love it, it will always make you happy and become part of your own unique look.
