Start your outfit planning | strictly no loungewear!

With the easing of lockdown restrictions last week, we are hoping for a much more sociable summer 2021. This new-found freedom of going to the local pub or to a restaurant again has a huge impact on our wardrobe, so it is no surprise that we are all wanting to get dressed up and leave the loungewear at home.

“Many designers anticipate that in 2021 we will want to have more fun with our outfits and project a sunny outlook, whether that's via a rainbow print or wearing the most fabulous dress imaginable.” This feeling of optimism is hanging in the air, with our buyers curating collections of vibrant prints and tactile fabrics. At Javelin, our basement menswear department has seen a resurgence in popularity of suits and smart-casual combinations. Furthermore, our boutique and womenswear departments have dresses for all occasions at the ready to fill your summer wardrobe.

While it seemed novel to try fine dining at home, we are all ecstatic to be heading out once more and avoiding the washing up! So, here are a few of our favourite places in Suffolk to be wined and dined Monday to Friday, with outfit ideas thrown in too. So, if you have been feeling at all lost about what to wear now we can venture out again, we have got it covered!
