It’s time to say ‘thanks and we love you’ to all the dads, uncles and all round fab father figures out there.
Father’s Day is on its way and we’ve put together a menswear summer edit to tempt you whether you’re looking for a present, or planning what to wear next weekend.
In case an outing is beckoning we are also sharing some ideas for food and drink-inspired things to do in our lovely part of the world. You're welcome.
Where to go
30th East Anglian Beer and Cider Festival at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, Tuesday 14th - Sunday 19th June.
Much-loved festival celebrating brewing in our region and beyond in the wonderful setting of the cathedral and grounds. Music and entertainment too.
Sunday (or anyday) lunch at The Weeping Willow is always a treat, and Father’s Day seems the ideal excuse to indulge. The menu always includes plenty of locally sourced goodies. Be sure to book.
The Taste of Sudbury is at Melford Hall this year, Saturday 18th June. Look out for local food and drink producers, tastings and chef demonstrations. Ideal for foodie families.
What to wear
Brightly coloured short sleeved shirts are THE way to make a summer statement. We love these from Young Poets Society (a new label to Javelin) and Edwin Hiroshige.
Is it a jacket, is it a shirt? Take your pick: versatile and relaxed, this is a trend set to hang around, we think.
Striding out in style. New trainers or set-for-summer sandals? Your choice (and by the way, you can say yes to both!)
Cropped trousers are making a statement this season. Choose from classic chinos or twill cargos. Bare those ankles folks.
