We started of 2019 with a trip to the Top Drawer trade event in London, held at Olympia. It was a successful first buying trip of the year, so to celebrate we bumbled into The Ivy, Kensington.

Pure London was the next show for us, taking us back to Olympia.

The Northgate was kind enough to lend us the location for one of our frequent photoshoots, so we wondered down the road in March to get some Spring-time snaps.

Our gorgeous ever-changing window displays were also revamped for a more fresh and vibrant scheme ready for Easter and we were lucky enough to go to Ickworth House for another photoshoot over this wonderful time of the year.

Buying continued through to summer, with more in-house buying meetings happening at both our Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury stores. (A quick coffee in the Sudbury Espresso Bar was also needed on this occasion!)

In September we took a trip over to Cambridge for a shoot with Velvet Magazine to celebrate our 30th Birthday in conjunction with The Fashion Issue. It was great to be able to showcase some of our collections to a new audience and in a different format.

This then leads to the busiest month, October, where we were gearing up for our birthday party! We hosted a party full of cocktails, dancing, fashion and music at both our Bury St Edmunds shop and a restaurant, Gastrono-me, across the road. It was a night-to-remember! We held a catwalk and raffle and all proceeds went to Barnardo’s. In the end we raised over £7000, with thanks to all our wonderful customers and friends.

After a much-needed recouping, our festive windows went in at the end of November ready for Christmas. We were delighted to have a winter wonderland created by our designer Stephane and are even the lucky winners of Our Bury St Edmund’s Best Christmas Window Display competition!

Finally, we ended the year with a gorgeous Christmas party at Francela.

Thank you so much to all of our wonderful friends, family, customers and brands for accompanying us through another incredible year and we look forward to seeing you all in 2020.

Best wishes,

Jess and Team Javelin
